Your Favorite "Extra" Piece of Tack

What is something you have that is NOT necessary, but you bought because it was cute or whatever, that you like the most?

I like my jointed stirrups...normal stirrups would have worked just fine, but i found these better for my shin splints. :p i also like my chrome clincher browband.

my horse seems to like her new purpleish plaid coloured sheet from greenhawk...she thinks it's purdy. :D

Pretty much all the tack that's on my horse is there because it needs to be. I love the flash noseband though :p

Well, I like to collect different colored item that match Beau and my's "color scheme" of royal blue, light blue, and white, plus other neat theings. I have a few ear bonnet things, which are fun, and I have tons of bell boots in lots of fun color, which my trainer seems to steal everyday.

I love my pink open fronts (my ankles are on the way!), I also LOVE my half-pad, and all of my other "fun" stuff.

I have dozens of saddle pads that I don't use, and I also have more pairs of eskadrons than is really necessary.. but what if my horse wanted the baby blues one day, and black the next? We'd be screwed if I didn't have them :P

im trying to think of an extra piece of tack that i have that i don't really need , but there doesnt seem to be any. i guess you could say the various wraps that i have , but its more or less i was trying different ones out till i settled on my professional choice boots. i usually carry my rope with me but all my horses are broke to rope off of so it comes in handy ocassionaly , but i guess thats the only piece of tack that i carry that i don't absolutely need.

Ok, so it's NOT tack..but I have trillions of sprays (fly, show sheen etc..) leather cleaners, leather wipes, detanglers, conditioners, shampoos..basiclly.. I have millions of bottles and I <333 them, haha.

But for tack, probably my pretty assortment of lead ropes -- hehe. :p

BAHHAHA! My pony has that too! I only saw the green at first and was going to get it but they only had it in like, 80's. And they had smaller ones in the purple and she looks hilarious in it. I love it.

And reins... I have more reins than one person would ever need in a lifetime.

I love my fuzzy shipping halter. It's one of the Beval ones, so it was pretty expensive, but I use it all the time in the winter. One of my friends has a pair of hot pink medicine boots. They're so outrageous, I can't believe she spent 55 bucks on 'em! :p

I have a really nice bright blue tacky too saddle pad that I can't live without, my saddle itself is blue, so thats cool, and I've got rainbow braided nylon barrel rains...I'm no barrel racer, but they were pretty! I also have rainbow halter and leadrope, and a rainbow bat (don'tuse it, once again, just thought it was pretty.) My husband thinks I'm nuts for having all this rainbow stuff.

Oh, also, I have a new nylon headstall with pretty pink jewels on it (thanks again, DixieGirl!!!) I have a pink english saddle pad (getting ready to sell the saddle so that unfortunately will be for sale, but it's pretty so whatever)...

and I don't have any, but the girls at my barn use glitter ontheir horses hooves sometimes and it looks awesome (not for shows, just for having fun). I love that stuff, I'll be getting some in pink, soon! Ah, the joys of having a mare....pink pink pink pink pink.....yay! :D

i personally don't have too much extra tack. for my old horse i had a breastcollar and draw reins, lol.

for my horse now all i really use is a bridle, saddle, and black eskadron gel boots.

i like saddle pads, but i actually on have four [and two are just plain, thin white ones. and i won another. i bought the other in germany and i love it.]

i like polos but i never use them. my horse has had a lot of halters but i only keep buying them because the horses in his pasture pull them off his head and ruin them, haha. right now his is lime green so that the barn guys don't lose it [things always seem to run off].

Anyways, I have like EVERYTHING for my horse, but my favorite toys would probably my collection of amazing and different brushes - I have a flexy one, a goat hair one...etc. And alot of boxes lol.

Ringo likes the brushes. As long as it's for him, he does't care...lol

Whoa! How do you do that -- do you just like sew them yourself??

I admire you that cause I don't think I can sew a very short straight line, let alone a really long one lol.
