I have an off the track thoroughbred and it is pretty much impossible to get her to gain wieght, does anyone have any suggestion on supplements or feeds that would work?

I don't know if you have ever heard of SmartPak but they have a supplement you add to the feed called "hard keeper."

I have used beet pulp with some success.....We have a 34yr old mare it did help....now we Feed One-n-Only. Her body condition made real imprvement with this free feed. :)

Be very careful of beep pulp. It is a good filler, but if you don't buy it all ready made with the feed and you have made it too wet or too dry you can colic your horse. If you know what you are doing I do recommend it, especially with a horse that doesn't get much roughage  .

you can try rice bran or rice bran oil. they helped put weight on my older gelding. also you can try putting her on some probios, it helps increase their appetite

we tried rice bran oil and it didnt work very well, right now we're trying beet pulp and it seems to be helping. I dont really think probios will help because her appetite is fine.
