I am new

HEy all i am new and have a few hrose and LOVE them to death... I also have many srorys of wisdom.. even tho i am really really young... like when i hit a tree with my head at a full out gallup because the horse wouldn't stop even tho the horse was suposivly "dead Broke" and we were miles away from any hospital... i still got to the hospital tho

Hello Ruby Rider! Welcome to CC!!!!!Sorry to hear about the spooky horse, but remember, "dead broke" can also mean you'll be dead or broke after you ride....... :cool:

well thats great.. but the horse wasent spooked one of the ridersi was riding with had his pasturemate and tey wanted to run back to cmp... but naturally indie had to go too... indi was the one horse i was riding.. he was a white arrabian gelding that could have been mistaken for a stallion.. he was beautiul

Hi...I just found this site..seems just what I need!I just rescued a quarter horse gelding!( 16 years ) and a Throughbred mare(24 years).I "bought " them from a couple who were in a car accident two years ago...they had these horses for weekend trail rides.After the accident, they just left the horses alone..(they had three stables mates)None of these horses were turned out to pasture much...maybe two three times a month...their pasture was nothing but mud so they didnt graze much...Now I have them at my home...so far I have a three acre pasture...how long til they can graze all day? Right now we walk them on a lead and let them graze for about 20 mins.
I just started lounging them for 10 mins. each side(2 days ago)Do you think if I up the times about every four days, this wont be too much for them?( when we lounge they walk for most of the time and trot about three mins...they seem to get tired easy)Sorry this was so long, but i could really use some advice.:)

Ouch, i was in a car accident with my old pony. We totalled a mercedes because my horse reared over backwards onto the front of the car. It was the drivers fault because he got up my ponies bum and then hit the horn and he just went mental. I got off with cuts and bruises. Luckily my insurance covered everything and the driver got a instant driving ban and 2 months in jail. Very fun.

Ouch... I hate unconsiderate drivers like that... they deserve to be punished! :p
