I was in Orlando for a few days, and we went to the Saddler of Orlando. I bought Wes some splint boots, as my trainer suggested I get him some. I bought them, and I just noticed now (that I am home, 2 hours from Orlando) that they are rear splint boots, and not front. They look EXACTLY like front boots, so my question is, do you think he could wear them in the front without problem?

No because I tried before and they give him bad cuts.

How would padded splint boots give a horse cuts? O_o

They weren't paded.

Oh, well that answers my question then, mine are padded, so I don't think cuts is something I have to worry about.
Any other objections?

I asked the question on another forum, and someone told me as long as I use them correctly, with the velcro straps facing back, they should be fine, they'll just be a little long, which is okay, he needs the protection. Thanks for the input guys :]

It also depends on the horse.

If there padded then they should be fine
My friend has the same kind of boots and she uses them and there fine on the horse she rides (But she doesn't know which boot goes on what hoof, sometimes she needs help with that lol)

I've been using them for a couple of weeks now, and they're protecting his legs just the way I need them to, with no discomfort or cuts. So all is good. Trust me I would have exchanged them if I could, but I'm glad I can just use them :]

So did I, but it says it right on the tag (which I should have read more carefully) Back splint boots.

why do you think the arab needs them?
I think if it doesn't affect him in any negative way, than wear them. What more could you ask for?
