Welcome to CC!

Everytime the horse paces, make a loud noise for a "consequence." Since horses don't like loud noises, he will soon learn to stop.

Where are the pics?! :p

My little walker had an issue with pacing. We tried numerous things tack wise, but nothing seemed to help.

I eventually had a chiropractor come out to adjust him. Turned out his hip was out, which was causing pain in his diagnal shoulder as well. He was compensating so much in the pace, that even his muscle was very noticeably different in size around his shoulders. I let him rest a couple days before hand walking him daily for a week. When we did go for a ride, he wanted to do nothing but flat walk. He's built up the correct muscling now and can exhibit the running walk as well.

I'm trimming him differently which I believe is helping him as well. This is a good chart if you know what you are doing.

Hope this helps your issues with pacing.
