When I opened my package I thought ug those are really green. I tried them on and loved them.
I felt right at home in these breeches! I did all my barn chores & riding in them & never had to stop and pull them up!
I was super excited to try these breeches but found them to have thin, unflattering fabric. I have other riding tights that don't claim to have compression (that those do) that give much better support and are more flattering. Really disappointed.
Let's start with the positives - the color is fantastic. These breeches are not see-through, even with this light color. The fabric is fabulous and they washed well. I got these breeches DIRTY and they washed super well and didn't stain. If you want sticky breeches, these are perfect. I rode in them when my horse was super spicy and I didn't come out of the saddle at all. The silicone grip also washed really well with no wear after washing. I'm super impressed with the quality of these breeches.
The not so good - these breeches will highlight everything you are self conscious about. I could not wear any kind of underwear (fine - I go commando most of the time when I ride anyway), but if I were to go out with these breeches the most I could get away with is a no-show thong. Every little bump in the hip area will show, and I wouldn't be able to wear these breeches without a vest to cover my love handles, hip divots, and everything else I dislike about my lower body. I know these are supposed to be quite compressive, but it seemed to be compressive in the wrong areas, and there were things about my body I didn't even know I was self conscious about until I put these breeches on. For reference, I normally am a size 10 (32) in breeches. I ordered a medium based on other reviews and the sizing chart, but maybe I should have ordered a large.
All said, I would recommend these breeches. As a functional breech, they were great to ride in. They felt great on my skin and the compression is nice in the legs. I would just be more wary on the size you order - I think I would try these again in a different color and in a large!
My first pair (houndstooth) were so fantastic I knew I needed to have another pair! Comfy to walk, run, ride in, so for Mother's Day my husband and daughter got me these Meadow green to go with my custom Celeris Flower Power tall boots! It is a dynamite combination! Which pair will I need next?! Hmmmmm.
